Ghana Jollof will be the second Nigerian original produced by Showmax.

Basketmouth will executive produce and appear in 'Ghana Jollof,' Showmax's second Nigerian original show.

The star comedian and filmmaker recently disclosed a new partnership between his production company, Baron's World, and the top streamer. Though narrative details are still being kept under wraps, Basketmouth revealed in a statement that the show will include a cooperation of Nigerian and Ghanaian talent.

Ghanaians are our next-door neighbors, and both countries' music and film industries have long been connected. I believe in the mutual growth of both countries' entertainment industries. I'm also incredibly passionate about the discovery and promotion of new talent, and with Showmax at the forefront of promoting local African content, I believe we're set to unleash incredible new talent.”

“Those who are asking why we chose Ghana Jollof will have to watch the show to find out,” the filmmaker continued.

Baron World in Baskemouth has recently published an audition call in cooperation with Showmax. The audition is available to aspiring Ghanaian TV stars aged 20 to 60.

'Ghana Jollof' is going to be the second original of Showmax after the introduction of the headlines of 'Laycon Reality' in February, 'I Am Laycon.'
